Feeling stressed? Take Deep Breaths

We can exercise and eat a balanced diet to keep our bodies healthy, but how do we keep our minds healthy? Keeping your mind healthy is essential in achieving and maintaining overall wellbeing. A healthy mind can be achieved through the practice of deep breathing.


Deep breathing, aka diaphragmatic breathing, is a technique used to help decrease stress and promotes relaxation through the calming of the body and mind. This type of deep rhythmic breathing also increases energy and helps to strengthen abdominal muscles.
